Joachim completed his military service at the Swedish Army Magazine and went on to study at Berghs school of Communication and Poppius school of Journalism. He also took part in war correspondent training, Surviving Hostile Regions with the Delta forces, AKE group. During the last decade Joachim´s focus has turned into advertising, commercial photography and visual strategy - still working with photojournalism projects alongside. He has covered international stories such as the war in Afghanistan, DR Congo, conflicts in Kashmir, elections in South Africa, every day life in North Korea and many other social issues spanning the continents of the world. Joachim has received much recognition for his work including several Picture of the Year awards in Sweden and Norway as well as the Euro Press Photo award, and the Picture of the Year International (POYI award). His work has appeared in magazines and newspapers worldwide including Financial Times, Time Magazine, Café, Yomiuri Shimbun, The New Yorker, Le Figaro Magazine, Conde Nast Traveller, Le monde, Stern, Venti Quattro Magazine, and commercial clients like SEB, Happy F&B, Mannheimer Swartling, Akademiska hus, DDB, American Express, Scandinavian airlines etc.
